Darren Travis Selected as Deputy Network Director of the VA Rocky Mountain Network

Prior to joining VISN 19, Mr. Travis served as the Associate Director for the Alexandria VA Health Care System in Louisiana from December 2020 until January 2024. Mr. Travis also worked for the South-Central VA Healthcare Network (VISN 16) as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Network Director. Prior to his work for VISN 16, Mr. Travis served as the Deputy Director for the VHA Office of Medical Staff Affairs. He also served as the Acting Assistant Director at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center (Gainesville, Florida), the Acting Associate Director at the Veteran Health Care System of the Ozarks (Fayetteville, Arkansas) and the Acting Associate Medical Center Director at the Gulf Coast VA Health Care System. About VISN 19: The VA Rocky Mountain Network is one of 18 geographic VISNs across the United States, and consists of eight health care systems in Colorado, Montana, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming, spanning more than 500,000 square miles, the largest geographic area in the continental United States. VISN 19 has a headquarters located in Glendale, Colorado, eight VA Medical Centers (VAMC), and more than 100 clinics in the five primary states as well as portions of Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, and Texas.
