VA Virtual health care options

Veterans, you don’t need to leave the house to get access to health care.

VA offers virtual health care options.

Communicate with your provider and manage your self-care ONLINE. All you need is an internet connection and a:

  • smartphone,
  • tablet, or
  • desktop or laptop computer.

VA Video Connect

Veterans can connect with their health care team from anywhere using almost any device that has an internet connection and a web camera.  Ask your provider for a VA Video Connect (VVC) appointment.

MyHealtheVet

Veterans can make appointments online, refill prescriptions, view their health records, and send Secure Messages to their team. If you have flu-like symptoms, please send a Secure Message through MyHealtheVet before coming to a VA medical center or clinic. For more information, www.myhealth.va.gov/mhv-portal-web/home For assistance, please contact Glen Massman at glen.massman@va.gov.

Annie App for Veterans

Veterans can receive text messages to help them stay focused on their self-care, including health notifications, reminders, or motivational messages.  For example, Annie can remind Veterans to take their weight or blood pressure.  Registering for Annie is fast and easy.  For information, mobile.va.gov/app/annie-app-veterans#AppDescription.
