Coronavirus - Information and Updates
Even though the state is slowly reopening, the Western Colorado Health Care System is in the early phases of opening back up services that were rescheduled due to Coronavirus. We are currently still seeing patients via telehealth when appropriate and only taking face-to-face appointments as deemed medically necessary.
Please be patient with us as we ramp back up our services and start to see patients regularly. These measures and protocols are for the safety of our Veterans and staff. Please call ahead to your respective site for any questions.
The safety of patients and employees remains our top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic. Safe care is our mission and our continuing commitment to you. The following precautionary measures will remain in place:
- Required: appropriate face masks (cloth, surgical/generic) while on our campuses and in our facilities; health care providers will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Limited Visitations; Virtual visits are encouraged
- Entry point screenings
- Expanded testing
- Cleaning of high-touch surfaces in our facilities
- Physical distancing in common areas like waiting rooms, canteen and retail stores
If you are sick or have symptoms of respiratory illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath), please call: 970-242-0731. Staff are available 24/7 for nurse advice and triage, health chat and more.
We continue to offer virtual access to care options. Learn more at www.connectedcare.va.gov/
Over the next several weeks, we hope to resume necessary face to face visits and some elective procedures.
