Coronavirus - Information and Updates
The safety of patients and employees remains our top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic, however we want you to know as our community begins to relax limitations that helped slow the spread, the Sheridan VA Health Care System team is working to return face-to-face services at our medical center and clinics. Moving forward, we will continue to provide exceptional care to our Veterans and maintain an environment that encourages employees to speak up, offer suggestions and be heard. Your trust in VA is paramount. Safe care is our mission and our continuing commitment to you. The following precautionary measures will remain in place:
- Required: appropriate face masks or facial coverings (cloth, surgical/generic) while on our campuses and in our facilities; health care providers will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- No face-to-face visitations currently; virtual visits are encouraged
- Entry point screenings
- Expanded testing
- Cleaning of high-touch surfaces in our facilities
- Physical distancing in common areas like waiting rooms, canteen and retail stores
If you are sick or have symptoms of respiratory illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath), please call: 307-675-3575. Staff are available 24/7 for nurse advice and triage, health chat and more.
We continue to offer virtual access to care options. Learn more at www.connectedcare.va.gov/
Over the next several weeks, we hope to resume necessary face to face visits and some elective procedures.
