Montana VA COVID-19 Veteran vaccination update

We are beginning the process of notifying and scheduling Veterans for the COVID-19 Vaccine. High risk Veterans will be contacted first followed by all other Veterans who want a vaccine. High-risk Veterans will be contacted first followed by all other Veterans who want a vaccine. High-risk Veterans are identified as persons 75 years or older and any Veteran who has a medical condition that may put them at increased risk based on CDC risk criteria and VHA guidance. Updated Safety Restrictions for Patients and Visitors

Beginning Nov. 4, no visitors are allowed in Montana VA’s Fort Harrison Medical Center (exceptions can be made for hospice and end-of-life cases) or other Montana VA sites. All Veterans are required to come solo to appointments unless assistance from a direct caregiver is needed and/or it is medically necessary (visitors will be evaluated on a case-by-case instance).

If you are a family member of a patient at Fort Harrison Medical Center, please contact the following numbers with questions: To reach patients or medical staff on the 4th floor, please contact the nurse’s station at 406-447-7940. To reach patients or medical staff on the ICU floor, please call 447-7950. This policy is subject to change.

VA Prescription Refills and COVID-19

To ensure timely delivery of medications, please reorder your prescriptions right after you receive them in the mail using MyHealtheVet, the Refill App, or the automated call system. Typically prescriptions are mailed out ten days in advance. If you are not familiar with how to reorder prescription remotely, click here
