Medication Bottle

Veterans: Please know that VA is able to order, fill and mail medications in a timely manner to ensure our Veterans’ needs are met.

Monday, March 16, 2020

Attention Veterans:

There is no need to stockpile medications. The VA uses the Consolidated Mail Order Pharmacy that mails all prescriptions to Veterans.

Requesting early fills in order to stockpile will only lead to medication shortages that could be harmful to other Veterans. Currently, there are no medication supply issues other than what we normally see due to manufacturer delays. Please know that we are able to order, fill and mail medications in a timely manner to ensure our Veterans’ needs are met. We urge you to only request medications you are currently taking for prescribed medical issues.

To refill prescriptions, Veterans can use My HealtheVet to request prescription refills online or by mail, call their local VA medical facility, or visit that facility's website.
